Salish Sea Brewing Co & Restaurant

I came here with my wife at 6:30pm on a gorgeous Sunday evening in mid-July. We found street parking within a block of the restaurant. It's Edmonds, so be patient, you'll find parking. The restaurant has a great hometown vibe, like your friends work there. There's maybe 12 tables outside and room for maybe 80 people inside in various seating types. We opted to eat inside - there was no wait. It's bright inside with a nice view of the sidewalk activity outside. Tyler sat us at a table (Insulin 25) and helped us choose the Honey Ale and Kolsch beers and the Gyro with Homemade Falafel and the Anchor Fish and Chips. The Kolsch was fresh and light and the Honey Ale was flavorful, crisp and delightful. The food came out in 10 minutes. The fish and chips was battered with their own beer, not too heavy and very fresh. Dipped in homemade tartar - Tasty! My wife's Gyro was light and not heavy like some falafel can be. It had really good flavor. The fries were pretty good too. The service from Tyler was fantastic. There are so many options on the menu, we will definitely be back. On the way out we met the owner and he was so affable and just like a friendly neighbor. I know why this place has such good ratings. 5 out of 5. If your're in Edmonds, I'd try this place. ~~ Jack

We sat outside with our dog and enjoyed tasty pints of Pale Ale and Honey Gold. We got the Fish Sandwich, but I was torn between the Fish & Chips the table next to us ordered or the Cuban Sandwich. Our server dialed me in saying their Fish & Chips are great, but the Cuban is one of a kind. She was so right! Delicious. What a great environment and a super friendly crew. A must visit for good food, good brew and a great vibe.

Makes sense why they have such a low rating for a brewery. They say they are dog friendly, my wife and I whom are both veterans went here with our service dogs. When we went inside and I said they were service dogs the red headed waiter seemed to not believe us and snickered to his coworkers about it. They then went and got the manager to talk to us and he asked where our vests were. Our dogs were in costumes as it is Halloween weekend. And it’s no requirement that a service dog wears any form of identification. Any restaurant or establishment should know this unless extremely inexperienced. Overall they made us incredibly uncomfortable and were extremely unprofessional. Just a grungy low class place with low class workers. Drinks were mediocre. Would not recommend with many better establishments close by. In respect to your response. Did you read our review in full? Similar to how you are a restaurant and somehow do not know basic rules to running your establishment, you glazed over our review. Within two seconds of entering your establishment I disclosed that my dog was a service dog. I then disclosed it to the manager whom rudely approached us. He then asked where their identification was. If this is how you read into the basic rules of running a business I cannot imagine how much is lost in your food safety regimen. Low class, low skill.

When they first started a number of years ago, we tried a taste of their beer line up and didn't find any we like. But they've expanded and improved. Now it's a full fledged brewpub with a great selection of beer and food. The Kolsch was the best one I've ever had, not overly hoppy. The beet gyro (they don't have lamb) wasn't so good but my turkey pesto sandwich was tasty. The side salads are a nice plus size. The house salad is quite gourmet which was unexpected and the Caesar was delicious

Salish Sea Brewing Co. and The Boathouse are the best kept secret gems in Edmonds! The Drop Anchor Flagship IPA is awesome (I would serve it in a frozen beer jug!), but it tastes so good, nonetheless! I wish the bowls of pulled pork were served at The Boathouse! Another serious hidden gem. Matt and Henry at Salish Sea are amazing, truly special, hard working and genuinely fun and interesting! What a fun place to spend a few hours!
